1/18/09 Columbia Opportunity Resource


Katherine Swartz and Caroline Fields from C.O.R. (The Columbia Opportunity Resource) discussed the World Beer Festival at the Convention Center on January 24, 2009. They discussed the volunteer opportunities with COR for the festival.

They also talked in depth about COR, its mission to the community, and how to become involved. COR is a network of professionals in the Midlands, which brings together the talent from all walks of life to make the area a better overall place to live, work, and play.

According to their mission statement, "COR is dedicated to fostering a greater sense of civic and community involvement in the Midlands through social, political and cultural education, communication, development and action. COR inspires and empowers a new generation of Columbians to make our city a better place. Through a long list of ongoing projects, events and campaigns, the members of COR foster a new level of social, political, and cultural engagement among this new generation of Columbia's leaders."
